Fellow audiophiles will attest that this is one of the best-sounding turntables available under $1,000. This one usually goes for around $600, and the website is very legit with excellent customer service. They do free shipping too.

These are great sounding turntables. They are also, however, very very cheap feeling. The platter is a lightweight plastic. The motor whirrs to life in a noisy, disconcerting fashion. However, when the needle drops, everything sounds great, and I don't know that you can do better for $400 for something new.

Fluance is best bang for buck in this price range and lower. I have an RT82 and its amazing.

Got any deals for RT82? I want to get it as a present for someone but they're not on here

Besides making a keyword alert here, and waiting for BF and big sales, checking locally on offerup/craigs/marketplace could be worth looking at. A lot of ppl keep the box so if its in great shape, a great way to save $$$.

For $400 this is a great table, at the usual price I absolutely think you can do better in the previous pro-ject evo or a fluance rt-85. Once you get to the p3 is when Rega becomes more competitive in the market.
