for what it's worth, I still love my Gen 1 version that I just picked up for $15 as a Christmas gift. I thought it was worth it at the original $80 price tag.

The one for the 100" tv is also on sale for $150

I have it set up for my UST projection screen, I would recommend it. It's not perfect but it makes a huge difference when watching movies.

Tempted to hold out on the new model to go on sale, but doubt it's worth double the price of this one...

I really loved my Gen 1 overall, and I used it for years. My only complaint was that the colors weren't always completely accurate. I'm hoping this version improves in that area.

I have it, it looks great but your tv really needs to be mounted or directly against a wall. Think I got it for $85 so this is a good deal.

Does it fit on the 85 inch TV?

I have the appropriate size one on my 83" tv which is wall mounted, but extended probably 24-36" away from the wall. Still works great. I love it.

Jumping on this deal? I recommend the first thing you test them with is the opening scene from the original Lion King. You won't believe it

So not good if your TV is on a TV stand in the corner? No wall really directly behind my tv

I bought this model in December of 2022 and its still working decently. I do like it as a bias light and it does a pretty good job of matching colors.

Initially it wasn't the greatest, but firmware updates helped. It also helps to not have any reflections under the TV, so I put felt on my sonos speaker that was mounted under the TV to prevent the reflections.

Another item to note, and this will depend on your mounting and surroundings, is don't set the color matching to the absolute edges of the screen if there are any reflective surfaces around the screen. We have a console/table under the TV even though the TV is wall mounted and even the top of that provides enough reflection to mess with the camera.

I have an older model, from when it was called the Govee Immersion. Mine only uses a single camera, but it works very well. I've had mine for about 2 years. I would imagine this works even better. I love mine and can never go back to watching anything without backlighting. Just calibrate it correctly, and turn the color saturation down to 1% (Trust me. It's way more natural, and still gets saturated when the actual color on screen is saturated). The camera doesn't need to be attached to the TV, either. Some people hide the camera in a little bowl of rocks under the TV. It just needs to be able to see the screen. Even my older one is very responsive. It puts the color out the moment it sees it. Obviously it's not quite instantaneous, like a massively more expensive Philips Hue sync box and light set, but it's about as fast as it possibly can be, considering it has to see an image before portraying a color. It's not a delay you'd notice unless you're actually staring at the lights. As long as you're paying attention to the show/movie or game you're watching, you won't notice, and it'll add depth. The nice thing about having a camera is it works with anything. You can't use a sync box with built-in TV apps. I know that's not a problem for everyone, but I prefer LG's built-in apps, over my AppleTV 4K, because LG's apps have significantly better audio. Seriously, test it out. It's crazy how much louder and clearer LG's built in apps are for audio, compared to external devices. Not sure that's the case with every TV brand. There is another option for sync box backlighting, called FancyLED, which is cheaper than Philips Hue, but it's still more than this, especially depending on if you get one with more HDMI ports or HDMI 2.1. I digressed quite a bit, but moral of the story is, I love my Govee lighting, and I'm actually considering upgrading to this, even though mine is in perfect working order.

May I ask which model that was to try and buy one for me as well?
