Does anyone have experience with this or similar units?
Although we don't really get snow anymore, I'd like to have a cordless.
My corded unit is a champ though, so I'm apprehensive get a battery unit unless I know it will perform well.

I am on the 60V eco system for Greenworks. I don't think I can ever buy a non-gas snow blower. The weak power, the cold effect on batteries, the chance that power outages occur during winters, and this being single stage all point to a weak product, even if the price is so-so.

I've used this the past few winters to clear two driveways, a small back lot, and the front sidewalks. It works surprisingly well for anything not too wet/heavy. A 5.0 Ah battery lasts roughly an hour. I have two so swapping out is no problem. Last winter I didn't have to take my much larger gas powered blower out once. Ive hit a couple hard things hiding in the snow with it a few times and the auger has held up well. The only issue I've had is the hinge for the battery cover broke but it's magnetic so it still sits on top and stays on.

I don't have this model, but I do have the 40v system from them. I've had it about 3 winters now and am pretty happy. The first winter I had it, we had 2 11+ inch snows and it did pretty well. On some drifts, I did make a couple of passes. On heavy snows, it does devour batteries pretty fast. Luckily, I am into the 40v ecosystem, so I have 6 batteries. I have about 200 feet of sidewalk and it takes about 5 batteries to complete. The 60v is an upgrade from mine, so it should be fine.

the same discount code works on the larger unit also and the bigger one has 3 inches taller clearance and comes with 2 batteries. I just ordered that one instead for ~$480

I'm curious as well, I have a Greenworks corded version. I live in the Chicagoland area and in 5 years this has handled every snowfall we've gotten. I'm wondering if dropping down to 60v would be substantially less power?

I live in Chicagoland also and just bought the 2 battery one. when I looked up the corded ones vs the 60v models, it says "The 60v model offers significantly more power than corded models, making it better for heavier, wet snow and larger areas."

Thanks, I was seeing similar info. The 60v has the brushless motor which seems to be good for power. I'm gonna buy the 2 battery one too. Luckily I have 3 batteries already so I can save a few bucks and get the tool only version.

Only Ego made steel auger but it's too expensive. Stick with gas for now.

I have the 80V and it works great. Super light weight. Just hit the snow while its still fluffy and not compacted for 3 days.

Minnesotan here. I have the 80V version of this and am pretty happy with it. I don't have a ton to do - mostly just walkways, but it does a great job at what I need it to do. The only time I've ever had issues with it was when we had like 9"+ of the heavy stuff, but that was kind of to be expected.
