Too bad this isn't for iOS. I've worked in the IT industry long enough to know I will never buy a Mac. Can't stand them. Ironically, I love the rest of Apple's stuff.
I understand the sentiment but many of us do love Mac because "it just works!"

Until it doesn't and that's where the IT folks hate comes in to play. I despise MacOS with a passion because it makes everything more difficult than it needs to be.

It depends on your environment. For regular consumers, yes, like you said, it works. When you use it in an organizational managed environment where login credentials are managed on a Windows server, like RichardWad says, it's a nightmare.

People who think Macs are easy don't get it. They're easy when they work. When they don't, they're far, FAR more difficult to fix and work on than a PC. Mac is 0% or 100% difficult, PC's are always 50% (that's for software and hardware).

I run an org that's 100% Mac and it's been smooth. AD integration isn't the nightmare people make it out to be anymore, you've got cloud identity (Okta, Azure AD, JumpCloud) that handles SSO across Macs without issue. Apple Business Manager + MDM (Jamf/Kandji/Intune) gives you the same or better control than GPOs for device management. We've scaled just fine with tooling and Macs integrate cleanly with enterprise systems, security policies, and cloud infrastructure. Honestly, managing Macs has been simpler in a lot of ways, and downtime has been minimal. It really comes down to how you design the environment, if you stick with old school Windows only setups, of course it'll be painful. But in a modern stack, Macs fit in perfectly.

I'm surprised, because once they went unix based, I thought more people jumped to Mac.

I too am Windows guy through and through, but can't say I haven't been at least tempted to switch.

I've supported environments with Macs from 300 to 10,000 devices. It's not difficult at all. Sounds more like you just don't understand how they work.

What industry exactly? Been using Macs in enterprise for almost 20 years now. Most of our developers prefer them. Not really an issue in enterprise for any org I've worked for.

Thinking the same thing -- giving some random company the keys to my cloud storage services doesn't give me the warm fuzzies...
