You might not need a ton of drill/ driver power, but what about something like a circular saw?
I find it worth having both 12 and 18v systems. My little 12v drill and impact are great around the house, but 18v is nice to have for the cutting/routing tools.

One of the biggest remaining reasons to go for Milwaukee's M18 lineup (over M12) is that the batteries do ultimately have more capacity if your use case has you using tools all day or for longer durations.. e.g., even though the gen3 M12 Fuel impact wrench boasts up to 550 ft-lbs, you've got about 60Wh from a M12 5AH HO, vs 108 - 162Wh+ from M18 6-9AH+ batteries. So, a guy doing tires or brakes all day might want the M18 instead.
One thing I really appreciate when you buy M18 tools is that the M18 chargers also have the M12 charger onboard too.. so you don't have to multiple chargers kicking around (unless you want to charge more than one battery at a time).
It's a nice (albeit expensive) platform to be on. Tool wise, it's incredibly diverse.
This bundle, though, I'd probably avoid. M12 3AH batteries are 'bottom of the barrel' and practically worthless. This has often been available around this price but with the installation driver or another free tool for this same price (instead of the 2x 3AH).
