Nassim Taleb's books are great. I recommend starting with the Black Swan, then Antifragile (which is my favorite), then this one. They all kind of build on each other, but the later books summarize the gist of the earlier books enough that you can understand them without having read the earlier books.

I thought Black Swan was about ballet or something

Agreed. I've read Fooled By Randomness and The Black Swan and would highly recommend both. Taleb is a grade A pompous ass and that comes across clearly in his writing, but if you can look past that, the guy is legitimately insightful. I've been meaning to read Antifragile and this one.

If you sort this author's books by price on Amazon I purchased his NY Times bestseller "The Basic Laws of Human Stupidity" (Audible Audiobook version) for $3.94 and ticked the box to add it to Kindle for $1.99. I also added his free Audiobook (co-written with him and another author) "The Calm Before the Storm: Why Volatility Signals Stability and Vice Versa". After that, I went to the Libby public library app on my phone and added myself to the waitlist for another 7-8 of his books you guys recommended. Thanks!
