I plan on taking my 11 year old godson to see Back To The Future for one of the 40th anniversary theater showings at the end of this month. So he can experience it for the first time like I originally did on my 8th birthday. I'll probably be more excited about it than him.

didn't realize gruv sold digital movies, so that's why they opened my James Bond new 4k set and removed the digital codes. trash company
I remember when redbox realized that they couldn't have only physical media and finally started their own streaming service. We all started streaming there, canceled netflix and never looked back

I really loved Doom. I felt it captured the heart of the video game so well.

Thanks! Picked up the HD versions of RepoMen, Doomsday and Tomorrow Man. Gotta figure dystopian movies have got to be better than watching the news these days.

Great deal for Back to the Future trilogy. For some reason those movies are rarely included with a monthly streaming service.

I did this with the 85th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz. Apollo 13 was in IMAX recently but the limited showings are so expensive it's hard to justify. I saw Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade this year too.

Don't get your hopes up, kids these days are difficult to impress but I hope he likes it.

Wasn't there a case when Vudu or MA wiped people's libraries because of illegally obtained codes?

Maybe I'll get serenity to replace my DVD of that movie. And then wait for a 4k deal for Firefly, which I also have on DVD.

So you buy something and get nothing if the server/website ever shuts down.

Sure, but that's true for most digital content with copy protection. With respect to the Slickdeals ethos, we're talking less than $4 here.

The good thing about Movies Anywhere (MA) is that they integrate with most streaming services and have their own app. They've been around for over 10 years now, and I can't imagine them going away anytime soon.
