I would add the <$40 Cube Baby (Black) multi effect pedal, for computer connection and to work as your pedal board, IR, fuller amp type variety, and to match any song sounds.
I might wait for the inevitable Monoprice 15W combo sale (about now), for hopefully around $200 total. it will sound ALMOST as good (due to smaller combo cab; but the whole combo is just 25lbs. However, the head and cab here can be carried separately. So horses for courses.
If you know you'd rather have the head then this is almost a no brainier, for a great non-famous brand. Excellent gear and reviews. Especially if you can somehow get head and cab down to >$400. IMHO
I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Monoprice either. They are very reputable and fixed an order (FedEx damaged before arrival) for me, very nicely with extras.

This stack was just $305 in Mar 2023.
This is why I said the fact that it was exactly $305, back then (lower than shown); just search it.
And IMHO about $350 would be a killer price for this set. Note that is more the dated price due to inflation.
The former $305 was not an estimate.
A lower price here might cause some to favor this set over the 15W combo (at soon $200 to $250 sale estimated). *IF* those sales are soon.
I think you can get some distortion out of this "stack" at lower volumes; but yes it will be at about 0.3 on the volume knob for bedrooms. That does not make practice amps and rather saving funds for better flexible gear free. And high distortion is historically done with a pedal (or something else up front, (Including the Cube Baby PEDAL multi unit), by gain stacking it (twice) for heavy distortion. Built in dual(2) gain stacking is far to costly; it seems.
But you are correct, not it's max distortion (enough though?) when alone; when at bedroom volume. That's a reason dirt pedals were used early on; to get the bite, and more of it with the lesser room volume. Also; separate boost can be clean, or not and also can effects the distortion; but not always much. 30W with tubes can be a beast. This is FOUR power amp tubes. But the 12ax7 pre amp tubes (the last one) growls (distortion) a lot! Even at lower volumes. This may not be a whisper at 3 a.m. in the hood amp; but it can be mid music playing volume for a house. Test some amps, as always before you decide.
Both this and the combo are know to be distortion flexible for a classic tube type amp. If you want all amp styles then this is where a multi such as the Cube Baby (mentioned because it's only <$40 slick, and there are many other options). And it almost every style you could wish for. Not that it's a requirement; depending. It make a tube amp do sonic sounds most like of what a Katana 100 Gen3, non-tube amp does. And it's always good to have both tube and non-tube for mixing or separately.
Basically:
Katana 100 Gen 3 something and...
Monoprice 15W combo (or optionally this head and V30 cab for more), plus a CubeBaby or very similar multi...
Are your recommended choices for SLICK. I have both, so I have used them.
If you're peeved because you (all) have other choices then that is fine. It's not wrong. I do not care.
