I bought this exact one a few years ago lasted about 3 years in a Midwest back yard next to the garage, by lasted I means that's when I got tired of it and took it down. Couple of tips and the cons :

Zip tie all the connecting points and the shelves
Put down weed fabric and pee gravel as a base
Use plastic clamps for the door to hold the open.
Cons :.

The zippers on the door were the first thing to fail, I could find no work around for this
Probably a obvious duh but it's get, out in the full sun in February 40 degrees this would get up to 80+
As you guessed the plastic is cheap eventually the sun itself will make it brittle and fail
Pros

I was very surprised at the structure it's self, held through multiple storms, matter fact no part of the skeleton every broke, crack or twisted

If using outdoors, you will really need to tie it down, weigh it down, or bury it so it doesn't fly away like a kite.
Also, the plastic cover will get brittle and tear very easily.

If overwintering, you might also want to get a tarp to cover it, to avoid really hot temps during the day, and then freezing cold temps at night.
The temperature fluctuations are bad for plants and trees in the winter.

Would this work as a spray paint station?
I don't see why it wouldn't but it's size limits application.

Looks like a zip-loc quality bag stretched over tooth picks and straws.
Might be ok for inside.
Yup. Look at some of the video on amazon. Unless you do additional steps on strapping it down, it wouldn't be able to sit outdoors.

as another poster wondered, i think this could make a decent paint booth for things smaller than a car's bumper or hood, but you'd have to keep it assembled taking up space somewhere along with the possibility of trying to escape when the next breeze blows on by.
For $27, it is worth a risk. that's $41 off the current sales price

I wonder if this might, with a few small alterations, make a decent indoor Martha tent for growing mushrooms?

Ah yes, my wife got one of these with grand plans to have a thriving greenhouse. A year later, everything in it died, and since it doesn't have a floor there is 2ft grass growing in it.
Everything lived for a year? Sounds like a win!

If nothing else, put down cardboard on the floor. That will keep weeds and grass from growing wherever the ground is covered. Not a great long term solution as the cardboard will fall apart at some point, but it'll work until then.

Assembled, ziptied, at night, have someone inside with lathe, you outside with lathe and an 80g wide roll of pallet wrap. Put 20 layers around it, screw lathe through around door frame each side, cut open, might last another week or two... I am going to build one with those 3 walled clear sheets that can handle snow load, they were reasonably priced before covid, now with tariffs will just wait until the wrath of tRump is over and build one out of actual lumber and use it until I die... but as others said if used indoors with lighting, or possibly for shrooms, worth the $27 anyhow...

I'm using this to save on my heating bill. House is 50, an electric space heater and TV to take the greenhouse to 60, and a heating blanket brings me the rest of the way to comfort.
Sounds like a major fire hazard, in addition to being a strange way to live.

What about just to cure the winter blues, just put it outside and sit in it the warmth and sun in the winter with the snow around you outside and some grass on your feet! Smilie
