I wish I could go back in time and get these instead of the weird strip ones. I cannot install them as I have trusses exposed around my roof, and now have to amend my roof with wood in order to use them. Sense making. These would have been so much easier.
In my neighborhood we have a number of homes with the professionally installed, contractor provided lights and some with these Eufy lights that were also professionally installed. The difference is very noticeable. These Eufy lights are one step above just leaving Christmas lights up all year. They create a scalloped lighting more so than a smooth, uniform lighting. Many in the neighborhood complain about how these lights cheapen the look of the community. "Permanent" is also laughable because not even a year after install some of the lights went dead. TL;DR These lights are way cheaper than going the full pro route and they look it.
anyone with experience with these in Minnesota.. I don't want to pay this and have it die in a couple of years if the temp reaches -45F.. disregard, says -4 to +140..

I've had the exact opposite experience in my neighborhood. The couple of homes with "professional" installs look like Christmas lights. Because the installers charge so much people don't get nearly enough lights and since they DON'T have the scalloped look you end up with individual pixels just like Christmas lights. The Govee and Eufy lights look intentional and provide a lighting aesthetic that looks like it's meant to be year round, just like the garden spotloghts, fence lights, landscaping border lights, etc.

Thank you! It's been corrected
overall the app is decent, I have their string lights and it's not terrible. Govees app is very busy and can be confusing
