I finally tried the Cane's in my neighborhood because my daughter was begging me to and it was overpriced, portion sizes were tiny and yeah flavor was simply ok

Where? My daughters and I love RC in SoCal. The location we go to is super fast, clean, very friendly, and the food is very high quality for fast food.

Where? My daughters and I love RC in SoCal. The location we go to is super fast, clean, very friendly, and the food is very high quality for fast food.
I'm in southern cal too and I'll agree the chicken was pretty good quality but it also barely had any flavor. All the flavor comes from dipping it in Cane's sauce.

I mean, you're right it's not Colonel Sander's special blend of herbs and spices, but there's plenty of salt… Canes sauce is fantastic tho.

I've actually returned to several locations of this chain just out of astonishment that the food is so meh but gets good reviews. Best I can say was their bland as hell chicken was tender. The seasoning is barely present, and their "Cane's Sauce" makes straight mayo seem spicy. Fries are forgettable, and menu offers the same thing in each meal just rearranged in different configurations. The environment in one of their newer locations is incredibly loud, shouting and two disco ball lights flaring the store. I guess all to distract people from the fact that their food is entirely forgettable. How do they manage to get anything but mediocre ratings?
