Sorry bu you use 2 for surround setup or 2 different rooms?
I use one per room. They are overkill in most rooms as surrounds unless you are going for Atmos. I tried it with arc ultra and sub 4 and it was too much for the living room so now I have that set up split across 3 room.

Odd quirk for me. Lost the discount when I logged into my Sonos account. Placed the order as a new customer.

Good price but I saw someone in a recent thread mention that these go to $260 around Thanksgiving.

These are awesome as surround. For stereo, I'd spend a little more and get two Move 2. IMO.
the moves do have some good sound - have an old 3 and the moves beats it. have not heard the 300. not sure I trust sonos tho...

How do a pair of 300 compare to the KEF currently sold at Costco?

I have bought refurbished Sonos speakers through their official website AND through their official eBay store… every one I've gotten looked virtually brand new… not a scratch or smudge on them and were packaged in really nice Sonos packaging that was double boxed for shipping.

I have bought 2 Sub Mini's and a Ray, all refurbished within the past couple months… among a bunch of other refurbs throughout the years… All in pristine condition and all work flawlessly.

Just in case people are wary of buying Sonos refurbs. Sonos refurbs are legit top notch

Pair these with your soundbar and subwoofer, absolutely incredible. Hooked up my Xbox to it, the sound quality was astonishing when playing games. Never looking back

FYI- these are actually not great as surround because the front firing driver is disabled when set as rears. Not worth the price IMO if planning for surround. Era 100 should suffice.

A single Era 300 or two Era 100s for music in the living/kitchen/dining area? Fairly large open area.
I've tried the 300 at home and was really underwhelmed. Sound quality vs a Five is not great, lacks a lot at the highs and lows. The only thing it offers is spatial sound which is just gimmicky and distracting when the sound quality isn't there. I have a pair of 100 with a sub on the other hand, which is great for music.

Two Era 100s will sound fuller / more open than one 300.

I was looking into these a while back. This is what I know about these speakers. Someone please correct me if not accurate.

These speakers, when used as stereo speakers, all drivers fire but when used as surround, the main drivers get turned off and only the surround drivers fire.

If main drivers don't fire in surround mode, it would feel a waste, however, I don't know if Sonos other models support Dolby atmos so you're kinda forced to get these if you want that (atmos) setup.

I have two Sonos One SLs for surrounds. Assume I have the disposable cash...how much are the Era 300s as an upgrade?
