People definitely bought these, it's a good price.Primary concern here is that battery might not be great since it's a 5 year laptop at this point. Battery replacement cost from searching on internet is 250-300.. So if ends up being not great, your cost is now $450+300=$750.00New macbook air m4 can be bought for $850.. And will hold value longer. They are 70% faster than m1. So if you end up getting it, and batteries good than it's a solid deal but if the battery goes bad than it's not that great all of sudden.

I changed my air's battery with replacement from AliExpress. it has been working fine for 8 months and only cost 26 bucks.

i'm posting on an m1 mbp 14 with an m1 pro chip and the battery still lasts all day.

may sound cheap now but cost more in the long run... such as battery replacement, or components break down, Never know how much abuse from previous owner(s)

I changed my air's battery with replacement from AliExpress. it has been working fine for 8 months and only cost 26 bucks.

What kind of "searching" did you do to find $250-300 for the replacement cost?!?!

Just google "m1 macbook air battery" shows iFixit's guide as the top result to their replacement instructions that also has listings for both the battery only for $119.99 or the kit with tools for $129.99; both in stock ready to ship.

If you go to Apple's own repair site at: https://support.apple.com/mac/repair and fill out the info and choose: Battery > MacBook Air > MacBook Air M1, 2020 and click "get estimate" it shows $159 without AppleCare.

As someone else already mentioned there's tons of results for just the battery from $20-$50 if you are ok buying from a marketplace seller.
