fyi, a lot of Acorn shows are also on Hoopla, which you can watch free with most library cards. If there's only a little you want to watch on Acorn, you might check for those shows on Hoopla.

Of course, $2.99 ain't bad even if there's only a little you want to watch, and it's a tad more convenient to watch on Amazon than hoopla due to you having to borrow an episode at a time and Hoopla doesn't automatically cue up the next ep. Down to how frugal you wanna be, lol.

Plus, at least for me, I'm limited to 10 video borrows per month from hoopla.

I happened to stumble across it. I'm surprised Amazon isn't promoting it somewher. I'm also surprised that there aren't other streaming channels included. I'm hoping others turn up on Tuesday for Big Deal days although streaming services may be waiting for Black Friday deals.

Most past deals for Acorn TV were $1-$2/mo for 2 months. $3/mo is a new "high" for a deal.

Remember to set a reminders to cancel before it reverts to full price .

Thanks for mentioning about Hoopla. Any shows you would recommend?

The main thing I can think of off the top of my head is The Detectorists, it's great. I just checked and it's on Hoopla. Though if you've had Acorn before you've probably already seen it. I like British shows, but very rarely go for crime/mystery (and that's a huge part of what you get on Acorn/Britbox), so most of the shows I haven't seen.

However, I noticed Midsomer Murders has a bingepass, at least for S1 (haven't seen it, but I've heard of it, so prob popular?). Bingepass is where you can watch as much as you want of what the pass covers, so for one Hoopla credit you're get to binge whatever that pass is for rather than using one credit per episode.

Thank you! I was looking at Reddit for some show suggestions and noted down a few. Nope wanted Britbox and Acorn for some time now but never subscribed to any of them yet so this will be good time to check out on Hoopla for now. It's been 2 years now logging into Hoopla and don't know what Bingepass is. Now that you mentioned will look into it.

Thanks a lot!

Glad I could help a little! You may want to hit up google or reddit for ideas on what's on bingepass, I didn't see how you could easily search the options on Hoopla. I know it gives you free rein for one week to binge the series or service in question (there's a Hallmark bingepass, for instance).
