Any reason to get this if you don't have a Sam's Club near by? I have seen some good prices online, but is that a good enough reason to have a membership if you'd only be doing online shopping through them? Thanks to anyone who has some input.

Can second this. They definitely asked a few times if I wanted to join or renew but they still let me join and take advantage of the $15 deal.

Make sure you're logged out of your account, the app and the website. Otherwise it'll most likely keep giving you issues.
