The VRAM increase (8GB vs 12GB) can lead to a massive difference in performance, but whether it's a $500 one is up to you.

FYI the ID.Me thing worked for my wife, a teacher, got an extra $180 off. $1,570 total before tax. slight variances could be due to me adding custom options like extra 16b ram for 45

It depends on how much of a gamer you are. I am thinking about the 5070 but I am a very casal gamer and value more the CPU than the GPU.

Want to remind people you can get a price adjustment through Lenovo if you are within 30 days of delivery. Just make sure the specs are identical in the screenshot you send them. They will do the pricing AFTER all coupons are applied.

The mid level 5 series Legion has the build quality comparable to premium laptops of other brands. I believe the Helios Neo is a mid range Acer, so the Legion wins.

Fyi to anybody wanting this at an elite price. Use the $50 email intro coupon, EXTRAFIVE coupon, and downgrade the screen to 165hz to bring it down to $1,659.99. Buy through the Cap1 offer page to get an additional 26% CB to get this to $1,373.64 after tax. As far as I know the CB is not capped and should work on all products that are not outlet or lenovo pro.

Those offers are targeted, unfortunately, so not available for everybody. The crazy thing is that they go even higher. I've seen offers up to 52% off with $1000 reward cap (absolutely crazy offer, in my opinion).
