Build quality and screen on this laptop are fantastic, rear power and HDMI port to keep cords out of the way (unlike the 16 inch versions). Also despite only being .9"s smaller on screen, this weighs almost a lb less than the 16" Legions do this gen. Not sure what battery life will be like the the 255HX, with the 14700K it was awful, but has been good with the Ryzen 350.

Just looked up the 255HX, jesus that's a beast of a CPU.

how many hours do you get web browsing/youtube with the 350? do you have the 5070?

Anyone know how loud it gets? There's a "quiet mode" toggle right? I just can't stand how loud gaming laptops are but it seems like they're all pretty loud by default. "Quiet mode" is helpful but on my old Razer Blade it doesn't do anything at all it seems.

So went back and double checked so I wasn't misleading you (this is my cousins laptop, I just helped them purchase it/make calls on specs because they have never owned a Windows laptop before). It was this laptop with a AMD Ryzen 7 260 actually my bad. And they get 6-7 hours with it in that kind of light use without being too paranoid about screen brightness and the like. Has a 5060, but shouldn't change the battery life since it runs on the dGPU regardless when off battery if you have your settings right.

In normal day to day use it's quite. Strain it while gaming or doing big Excel sheets/big programming things and it will spin up the fans under load, but just "normal" use it should be basically silent.
