Got two of these last time. Both only charged an iPhone 16 about 47% (roughly 2030 mah) before running out. 5000 mah? Don't believe it. Awful performance.

That is completely normal and expected for wireless charging as a lot of juice is lost in heat. Was this using wireless charging or cable?

If you were utilizing wireless charging, the inefficiency is to be expected.

In my tests, I found that wireless charging used, on average, around 47% more power than a cable.

Is this as thin or thinner then the iPhone air Apple MagSafe battery pack?

The new iPhone Air Magsafe battery pack is another good data point. It uses the same battery as the iPhone Air but will only charge it 65%.

idk the exact thickness in my, but likely around 8mm so as thick as most modern phones, much thicker than the air.

a lot of negs on here...
.
As a counterpoint, I got the similarly spec-ed movespeed version of this for my iphone air. I use it wirelessly, but only when using battery sucking apps like Uber. For that purpose, it works just fine.

$50 Momax Q.Mag X is too hot to hold while charging after about ten minutes. $48 Sharge AeroMag heats up within about two minutes of use. $15 Lisen Ultra Slim gives me about 20 minutes of handheld charging before it gets too hot.
