Huh I didn't know Lenovo had any Legions 5+ with a non OLED screen this generation. Same laptop as the 5i, except no Oled so bigger screen but also .1 inches thicker and half a lb heavier. How weird.

Unsure if this is a good $ or not... I currently have an Asus TUF A16 with a AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and Radeon RX7700S, which I bought new from Best Buy for $680 back in July last year. Other specs are comparable. The dGPU/iGPU in this Legion would be a nominal bump up, that said.

I do appreciate laptops more with an FHD+ screen rather than if it had a QHD/4k screen. For 15" to 16" screens, 4k is overkill and the benefit of extra pixel density vs. FHD+ will be lost. I like the extra real estate of a heightened screen that QHD and FHD+ provide.

Saw that too. But QHD+ gaming might not be good with a RTX 5060 with 8GB of VRAM

Neither will this if you are that worried about it. Unfortunately if you are worried about the Vram you are shopping in a different price tier of laptop with a 5070 ti.

At least you'd have the option. I think any game that's been released already and isn't in the top 20 in therms of gpu demands should be able to handle 2k resolution. However, in the future with Unreal Engine 5, probably not a ton of AAA games moving forward. I'd still get the 2k OLED screen for $50 more either way. It's an easy decision

I wonder if stepping down to FHD+ with this screen will not give muddy looking graphics.

i have an rtx 3060 lenovo legion, with qhd, and i rather have better resolution than higher graphics quality in PVP oriented games. And those games run al 100fps at lower or medium resolution.

Seems $150 cheaper than Walmart's. Only different is the screen, isn't it? If I most of time use an external monitor, looks like this is a better deal to me.
