This is in "S Mode" which means it's locked to Windows Store, but you should be able to disable it and switch it to standard Windows 10 Home.

It isn't 1080p? But for the size of the screen that isn't even a big deal. It'd be an excellent for travel or kids. Not sure how easy it is to put Linux on.

no real catch, it is a used laptop. battery might be degraded and this i5 is pushing 5 generations old. Allstate warranty can be hit or miss. but this is incredibly competitive for the price range.

They just extended support for 12 months (Oct 2026) when I signed into my Windows 10 laptop a few days ago for free. The $30 extended support fee can be waived by enabling PC settings backup to a Microsoft account.

Got mine in today's heavily scratched and no "skin". Will try to return.
Edit: was able to return, supposedly going to get a refund.
