Grey and "For Mac" versions are also the same price. "For Mac" version is identical but doesn't include the dongle connectivity option, so best to stick with the regular Grey or black models.

They left the device switch button on the bottom for yet ANOTHER generation? Do yourself a favor and get the m720 Triathlon

I don't have an extra USB C port. No go for me.
It doesn't even work as a wired mouse. The USB C is for charging only and if this mouse is like the previous version, it'll go months between charges.

$90 is a lot of money for a mouse. yes i know it's a good mouse, but still
I have the MX 2, and that's what I thought prior to getting that mouse (work paid for it). That mouse has been so wonderful, I've realized that I'd readily pay for the MX 4 out of my own pocket. Its such a good mouse, and the programmable buttons have been such a productivity saver.

It sucked imo (had the MX Master 3s), and I've used a lot of expensive mice. I really hated the stupid scroll wheel with the sharp edges. The signal quality is spotty, the stupid rubber finish have a tendency to catch debris, and the mouse felt heavy and uncomfortable for use. The biggest draw for me when it comes to Logitech mice is the "infinite scroll", and imo products like G502X are just so much better due to lighter weight and more comfortable scroll. If you're not into app based gimmicks like dragging across screens, just skip this thing.

I wonder if they finally fixed the issue with failing switches. These are awesome mice, but don't last (historically).
I'm glad that on mine, the right click was the one that failed. Since I dont right click a lot, (and I'm using it with a laptop with a working trackpad), I'm still using the broken mouse lol.

What I should really do, is use one of the other buttons as right click...

the mx 3 is universally rated as a step back from 2 in every area. I have the 2 and love it, might try the 4 as it seems like a return to the 2 and my 2 is getting very worn. I love the flywheel scroll, but if you don't then I guess an alternative might be better

What was the difference they made from 2 to 3? Didn't they take out the on board memory thing?

Yes, it works that way out of the box, you don't even have to install their s/w.

No this isnt true. Its not universally rated as a step back. Most people recognize the improvements over the 2. Like, USB-C over micro, the better scroll wheel, the better button placement.

The big gripe is that the 3 has a slower click latency, but i've never noticed that.

I've had the MX Master 3S for almost 2yrs now. The Mx4 looks even better. Yes, these mice are expensive, but it makes my work at least 2-5% easier (depending on what I'm doing). So it's 100% worth the cost being more productive.

I wouldn't use it for gaming. It's kinda heavy and the ergonomics don't help with quick movements or clicks. And I don't think it has any special claims for enhanced accuracy or quick polling rate on the wireless connection like other gaming mice have.
