The confusing part is some of them are glass, and they brand both the glass and plastic as "Brilliance". As far as I can tell, that refers to the lids, which are interchangeable between glass and plastic.

I actually really like the plastic ones. Had glass ones that were heavy and shattered in my bag once. I've had these containers for a little over a year and I think it's worth it.

I have found that in the product description, when they are glass it is very clearly listed (no pun intented Big Grin). It has been a couple of years since the last glass deal on these (AFAIK, I might have missed one).

I guess there is a use for the plastic versions though... whenever I want to give someone left overs or something to take with them... I always assume I will never get the container back (and am usually right). I use the plastic ones for this purpose so I don't have to badger anyone to bring my containers back because I don't care about the plastic ones, deals come up fairly regularly.

The glass ones NEVER leave the house... not even with my kids (especially them laugh out loud)

Agreed - I have both the plastic and glass ones, while the glass are heavier, they clean better/easier and we're avoiding 'microplastics'. Big Grin I have since disposed the plastic ones and as other stated, lids are universal.

Love these containers, but they do crack horribly over time when you regularly use them in the microwave. I haven't found anything better that isn't glass, and glass just isn't an option for me for taking lunches to work due to the weight and breakable nature.

Be warned that are not microwave safe as advertised. The plastic containers will start cracking after using it in the microwave once or twice.
The glass ones are much better but they're really heavy. Not ideal for a lunch box if you're using it to bring in lunch at the office.
