I don't love any of these for mopping but that Q5Max+ is the perfect buy for vacuum only, which is all a lot of people need.

I bought one of these refubs a few years ago, still going strong and I really like the controls and app.

For carpet or hard floor? I'm buying a house with carpet on some areas and they had cats. I'd like to vacuum up all of the pet hair by running it 3x a day. I have a Revo S for the hardwood already. Thinking about adding one specific for carpet

you'd probably be disappointed if this is your use case. these vacuums are great for routine maintenance cleaning. if you have and lot of pet hair deep in carpet fibers, you are probably going to need to have a good quality stand-up or canister vacuum get those up first. for someone that wants a robot vacuum to augment their normal cleaning, these are great.

I was shocked just how much better vacuums have gotten in the last several years for so much less money. I've had several units (Neato and Roomba brands) over the last 15 years and the Q5 Max really has impressed me in every category and I'm still shocked how reasonably it was priced (on a SD, of course)

Wirecutter does not recommend any mop vacs. they just generally don't perform well enough to justify their cost.

I don't understand. You have a QRevo but you want to supplement on the same floor with a vacuum-only robot? I would not expect a Q5 to vacuum better than a QRevo.

what would you guys recommend for an apt with all floor no carpet - want to vac+mop? Have a dog that sheds (willing to buy additional roller)

Thanks

Beware, I just received the Q5 Pro refurbished and it is missing the front wheel and side brush. Functionally useless and I've initiated a return. Disappointing. Not to mention that the unit had dust and dirt from its prior owner in the base as well.

my vacuum was missing the ramp to get onto the dock. chat does a good job responding at 2am the next day and promised to ship the missing part but it's but 2 weeks and the tracking hasn't updated. so.... if you buy one, check out out quickly. if anything is missing just initiate the return

Can you initiate a return or is it too late? I haven't heard back from their customer service team but I guess if they offer to provide missing parts, I'll still proceed with a return (I haven't even turned on the robot because missing the front wheel makes it basically a paperweight)

Nah, the vibrating mops (S Series starting from S7) + and rotating mops Q-series are great moppers. I have an S7+ Ultra and it does a better job mopping than I do. Wirecutter has really fallen behind the curve in robot vacuum reviews. Vacuum Wars is the generally accepted reference now, and they recommend vibrating or rotating mops for most use cases.
