Rumor has it that Apple is releasing a newer version of AirTags this month, with better range. If that matters to you, it might be a good idea to hold off and see what the new version is able to accomplish.

$10 BB certificate works on this order if you have one of those sitting in your account.

The Air Tags 2 use a 2nd gen range chip that is only compatible for iphone 15 and up. Sucks i know.

how often does one have to change the battery?
And if someone has an android phone in the household, any apps that can work with this?

Idk about android compatability as a whole, I know Androids will warn you if there's an airtag following you though, just not familar if there's a standalone way of tracking it on android.

As for changing the battery, they've lasted me for about 5-6 months or so before needing replacement.

I think they will only work with the iPhone 15 though

Even if a new version comes out, these are fantastic for iPhone users and as cheap as they have very been.

The other ones might be better but these will still work extremely well.

Dito! Lol.

I've heard it too. Every single year in the last 2-3 years and still no new models!

Whoever said "Rumor" again this time >>> Any valid reliable Sources? Links? Proofs ?

I saw something about it on 9to5 Mac when I did a google search on it. But yeah, like the other poster said, even if the new one comes out, these aren't bad. I've never had any problems finding a lost one.
