If Acer hasn't improved their packaging, you're very likely to receive a cracked monitor due to insufficient packaging. Check target reviews. I purchased one of these in a previous deal- it took 3 tries to get a working monitor. The monitor itself has been working great for the past 10 months.

I have one and its been solid for years but from what i remeber these had a lot of issues with dead pixels right?

I wonder if these are refurbished or just old stock.

Its great for working on spreadsheets and very tempted to get a 2nd one for my work desk set up but having dead pixels would really pop out on spreadsheets and bother me lol.

EDIT: Bad intel, I have the older 100hz model.

Bought this last month? And I might have paid a little more? But the packaging was perfect for returbished and monitor is running solid.

Overall, I'd say this is a good deal if you're willing to gamble on a refurb. I've purchased 3 of their refurb monitors. Two worked perfectly, one had an issue with the HDMI port randomly disconnecting and they honored their warranty without much fuss. All three came in some ghetto packaging, though, so the previously mentioned concerns about them possibly getting damaged in shipping are valid.

I just received mine but will need to send it back. It has horizontal lines across the screen, worse moreso on the left.
I thought maybe it was a cable/driver issue but even when disconnected and powdered on, the little box the floats across the screen saying "Cable Not Connected" shows these lines.

How is the monitor? Is the smearing bad?

Can't find anything about this model's specs like power consumption or a manual....

I ordered another one to replace the one I received, hopefully the 2nd doesn't have any issues. So I can't yet comment on any smearing issues until I know I have a for sure working screen.

Device Manager detects this as ED340CU
https://www.acer.com/us-en/monito...1#pdpSpecs

That's the closest I've found to specs and assume those to be pretty close if not identical since it's how it's detected.

Adding another data point. Received mine. Packaging was adequate. Monitor was packed between custom styrofoam layers (typical monitor packaging that you would expect). No user manual of any kind was included (not the end of the world). Did a dead pixel test and all is good so far. Have not tried any games as my kid is in the process of building his computer. Fingers crossed.

Got my replacement and works perfectly. Packaging was in worse shape but at least everything functions well.
