I bought these before (they were $3.70 at the time), and have been growing them in an Aerogarden on my kitchen counter.
Things to note:
  • They are ridiculously tasty, some of the best tomatoes I've ever had. Can't recommend them enough.
  • They are smaller than your average cherry tomatoes, more the size of a small grape - great for salads (just toss them in whole), or just for munching, but too small for, say, a tomato salad. If you plan on using them whole for cooking (like, in pasta primavera and such), you'll have to be very careful, as they can easily be overcooked and end up falling apart.
  • Whatever you do, DO NOT grow them in a tiny Aerogarden like I did! The tomatoes themselves might be tiny, but the plant itself is indeterminate (as opposed to determinate, which stay as a small bush).
Mine has turned into a gargantuan beast with 6ft+ vines that have taken over the entire side of the kitchen counter and are currently wrapped around my kitchen window. My tiny Aerogarden (literally, the smallest model available) isn't anywhere close to being sufficient for it, and I'm honestly shocked it is still continuing to grow, all out of that tiny tank (that is now roughly 80% filled with roots).
I don't think there is an Aerogarden big enough for these, and the vines would definitely grow far past the height of the grow lights even if there were. My current plan is to wait until I can harvest the current crop, then prune it back by 95%, transplant it into a 5-gallon DWC planter, and hope it survives the transition. It's pretty tough, though - I'm not actually sure I could kill it, even if I wanted toπŸ€”
