It has the slow Ethernet port.

I ran a home plex server on a 12th gen intel with 770 UHD graphics just fine. There is Intel Quick Sync in the iGPU's to assist with transcoding and encoding. The Ultra 7 265 also has Quick Sync. We never ran more than 2 streams locally, and rarely had an issue.

I can't say that I have personal experience. However, it looks like Intel iGPUs from 8000 series CPUs and newer are all fantastic for Plex. And I say this as someone with an AMD bias. Intel's Quick Sync supposedly does all of the heavy lifting, leaving the CPU hardly used during transcoding.

If you look at homelab and selfhosted forums, you can find this repeated over and over again. Here's a 4 year old thread [reddit.com] where someone reports going from an Intel 4000 system which could not handle a single 4K transcode to a 9000 system where it handles multiple 4K transcodes at once.

For more info, one reason those uber cheap mini PCs that cost < $150 are so popular is because of this. The Intel N95/97/100/150 is very low power, which makes it great for a system that is on 24/7. The primary resource-heavy task many selfhosters have is transcoding video. These CPUs wouldn't have a chance at handling that. But if the application(s) can use Quick Sync, then they are good to go.

Intel QuickSync is cool but it's just a party trick. CPU manufacturers add in ASIC-level guts into CPUs to offload rudimentary/mundane processes such as H.264 and H.265 on the newer CPUs. Application-specific integrated circuits work well when there are well-defined standards but that's about it. Apple's M-series chips and A-series chips all have ASICs in them. That's why it looks like phones can do many processing-heavy tasks when in fact it's just good at specific tasks.

It's a good deal (even better than Costco) but keep in mind this is basically an oversized Laptop with limited room for upgrade. Maximum memory capacity is 32G. The Power supply is a is weak and has custom connections so if, like me, you already have a good power supply and video card from another computer it will not work in this one.
