I think there are so many of these labeled as refurbished due to how complicated they are to set up. I went from an old 1080p plasma to Sony oled and almost returned it due to how bad the picture looked until I dove into the settings.

If I wasn't using my tv with a HTPC, I would get OLED... but nah.. one more time on mini hybrid led for me..

Good point got the B8 77" last week and it took me a few days of tweaking to get the settings good. Especially 1080p it looked worse than my x950g it replaced because of the settings. Now it's great beautiful picture in all resolutions.

If you want one of these and are okay with a refurb, check Microcenter, if you have one local to you. The one in Mayfield Hts, OH shows three on their site for $850, 2-year warranties that they support are $100. I know I might want to wait for BF at this point, but I'm very close to grabbing one of these or a new Panasonic W85 (~$1000 from Beach Camera via Amazon). Tough decisions LOL

I use an OLED for my HTPC that's been on 24/7 for like 5 years. I only have slight burn in where the subtitles usually are. But I have my subtitles auto enabled so they are almost always there and often stay static when paused. But my video player is fullscreen like 95% of the time.

I only really notice the burn in if I have a solid color on the TV and even then only certain colors. Mostly unnoticeable.

I'd be weary of refurb OLEDs as they could potentially have a lot of hours on them. Might not though. If anyone who gets this can chime in with how many hours they show in the settings

Had one for a few days, had to return due to it's poor briteness. Swapped over to a C5 and it's been amazing. So be aware of you have a bright room or window across from it. 👍

refurb would have to be killer deal like $250... to knock around for 2 years while next gen oled and mini led improves. my tv higher end tv was 9y old when it died.. even a $350 set would be comparable..

Yeah. I ordered a Open Item - Good condition 65 OLED from Best Buy for like $400-500 a few months back. Went to pick it up and they couldn't find it. Like 30min later they said it was the display model with no box and I was like noooooope. Display models without a box should definitely be Fair condition, not Good. So that was pretty disappointing...
