how is this a Slick Deal 😜 nobody should pay $1,000 for a desk chair
I paid $500 for a Herman Miller Aeron that was effectively brand new (failed startup that was selling off office furniture) that retailed for over $1,000 at the time. This was 12 years ago. The chair is comfortable as hell, I don't have back problems, and could still be passed off as excellent condition, if not quite "like new." Seriously worth the spend on a good office chair, even for home use. Don't Ikea your back and your butt.
I see the definition of a gaming chair is somewhat lessened of late. that looks so vanilla, must be for that 1% of wfh in America who consider candy crush as "gaming".
These chairs are great. It was totally worth it for me, since it lets me work on my programming projects longer without fatigue. If you don't like the color consider checking for any local Steelcase authorized dealers. Back during the COVID years, I was able to get the exact color combination I wanted with a headrest for $999 at a local place. Although I'm sure the prices have gone up since then. And Best Buy probably also has an easier return policy.

Really good deal, but PERSONALLY prefer the Herman Miller Embody over the Gesture.
I've been eyeing the Embody for years. What do you think would be a good sale price, assuming it does this BF.
If you happen to live near a DSW outlet location (Brooklyn NY, Oxnard CA or San Marcos TX), they often sell overstock/returns for under $1k. That said, a LOT of Facebook sellers buy them in bulk from companies that have gone fully remote and you may be able to find one there used for around $500-700. https://www.dwr.com/outlet-stores...lang=en_US
Otherwise, I think when it comes to new the most they take off directly is just 25%.

Do they supply these at the SD office?
Wow! Looks like SD has done pretty well? Is this now cost-cutting measures?
I was waiting for that deal to return.
If you care about armrests. I personally removed them from the embody.
