Yes and No. It is very expensive for what you get and the average performance of these Irwin Bits. However Its a very good price for this particular Irwin Set given that some places like Grainger are charging over $300 for the same set.

I would personally go with this Dewalt 3 bit set from Amazon instead for $63. Unless you really need to drill holes up to 1-3/8", the largest bit in the Dewalt set only goes up to 7/8". The Dewalt bits performed much better in the Project Farm tests versus the Irwin.

If you just need one bit instead of a set, I would buy the $30 Temo M35 Cobalt Step Drill.

No way you should pay this much for these. I've used the Harbor Freight ones to build out a boat and a Sprinter vans. Hundreds of holes through steel and they still work great. Those cost $25 for a large and small one.

Agree with the opinions above. Looks for deals on cobalt step bits. Much better product and prices can be found in this range.

I have an Irwin tap and die set that cost $500, with that said. Do not spend this much for step bits. You will smoke them especially if you are going through steel. Find some cheap ass ones at Harbor Freight and you won't be pissed when they get ruined.
