these 2nd gen mugs have a bad disconnection issue with the app. I literally need to delete then re-pair it every 3 days. this is why they have so many refurbished mugs, everyone who buys a new one returns it. stay away.

It works without the app. Once I found the temperature I liked I have no reason to change it.

love mine. I got an off-brand one at Macy's for $20. I think it was posted on slickdeals back in April. Long story short, the handle's already broken off of it. I already have the 14 oz picking up the 10 oz. To be honest you really don't need much more than 10 oz if you're brewing a pot of coffee. If you're using a Keurig I would go with 14 oz especially if you want to brew a 10 or 12 oz size with creamer in it. Then you have to go with 14 oz

I'm assuming you're on Android. Ember just doesn't care about us at all. I ended up returning mine years ago for a travel mug cuz you can change the temperature on the mug itself. that being said, 4 years later, I've changed the temperature like twice... so not really that big of a deal

Same. Not sure it was even downloaded once. If it was, it wasn't touched since. Mug works fine for years now.

I don't even bother with the app at all anymore. It's not a huge deal the app really does nothing anyway.

One thing I would like too add is that if the coffee sits in there for too long it does start tasting funky. Like it's burnt. So I would suggest 10 oz mug if you brew your coffee. Refill the ember mug more

ordered this from woot last year, 2 out of 3 had the same yellow, green, red error code of death. I ended up returning all three. also if you buy them, know that you cannot use a metal spoon or else you will scratch it. it is delicate, so be careful when cleaning it.

I switch mine off (long press) when it's almost gone to prevent that and it recharges quicker.
