I don't even bother with the app at all anymore. It's not a huge deal the app really does nothing anyway.
these 2nd gen mugs have a bad disconnection issue with the app. I literally need to delete then re-pair it every 3 days. this is why they have so many refurbished mugs, everyone who buys a new one returns it. stay away.
It works without the app. Once I found the temperature I liked I have no reason to change it.
