I believe the Anderson's in this application are rated for 30 amps. seems like plenty. what's the argument for needing an xt60?

I have the Mega 3.
The Anderson to MC4 cable that is included feels of a high gauge number (thin)
In the Mega 3 manual they recommend connecting up to six 240 W panels in series. I suspect it's to keep the amps low.
I would have prefered to do two strings of 3, so if one panel gets some shade it does not bring down the production so much.
Otherwise, this line of batteries/inverter is fine. The 3 is very heavy and has a pull out handle and wheels.

It has the TT-30 port, same as the Bluetti AC200L for $20 more with the HoboTech code.

The brand has been around since about 2019 and make some very decent products. For a detailed reviews on this unit, which has been around for over a year, check out Jasonoid or ReeWray on Youtube. Seems a solid price for the features and battery capacity.

I got one. Had it for about a month now and am happy with it so far. I got it for emergency power primarily to power my 3/4hp sump pump for my french drains during an outage. I tested it during a recent heavy rain storm and it easily handled the surge wattage. The pump ran several times a minute during the heaviest rainfall and it seemed to average about 10% power usage an hour. When the rains were lighter, it dropped to 3-5% hour. I don't recall a power outage for more than half a day, so hopefully this would cover for most situations I would need it. It is a bit heavy at 48lbs, but that seems to be the range for 2kw systems. I also wish there was a way to link two of the 1 kw systems together rather than an extra battery; that would make it a lot more flexible and get more usage around the house as a ups. And then I could link them together when needed for the pump.
