Check you cards for Dell offers. I had 10% off on my Chase cards and bonus points from Amex platinum.

It's $250 ! It's NEW (not a refurb) and it's from Dell (not an off brand). The word you are looking for is "Basic"

How is this bare bones? I admit its not a high end system. But it has a screen, has a processor, has memory, has SSD, has graphics, has IO and even has an OS. Do you know what bare bones means?

lack of backlit keyboard and made from 100% plastic makes it bare bones

Decent specs, esp with ram being upgradeable. Good enough for school needs.

It should have a slot for 2 sticks of ram and only one loaded, correct? If that's the case it's great for just browsing, i'd add another stick of ram - cheaper to do yourself than pay up. Decent processor and HD capacity compared to other similar models at this price point.

Almost jumped but black color tends to show everything -- dust, fingerprint smudge, etc. Need silver.

Could this work with a Dell Dock and transmit to 3 external monitors?
