I wish these had a higher polling rate. I used the mx 1000 and mx revolution for many years and use the 2s at work. I've always liked the mx mice and prefer using a heavy mouse with high dpi. But after getting used to the G403/G703 I can't go back to 125hz mice. 500hz would be fine, maybe even 250hz, but 125hz feels really choppy to me.
Still seems alive. 35% coupon applied at checkout bringing the price down to about $60 + tax. I'll roll the dice on a like new one, even though the last time I got a used one, it had a weird clicking issue that caused me to return it.

I do not recommend these (and I love MX Masters) - the silent switch inevitably leads to a double-click issue after about a year of use.
very easy and cheap to change the switch
Yeah, just disassembling the mouse, desoldering the old switches and soldering in new ones. No big deal. Anyone can do it. 🙄

To each their own. Soldering is easy to do and cheap to get into. Very first thing I ever soldered was a tv set years ago. Spent $25 on soldering kit and parts required, saved $500 on new tv. New mouse switches are dirt cheap, a new mouse is not
