These seem like better deals. I ordered the refurbished Vitamix Venturist Pro from woot Friday. It's supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I'm debating if I should return it and grab the 5200 on sale.

It was only $200 and comes with a 5 year warranty. There's hardly any info on it online. I feel like the 5200 is a lot better. Any thoughts?

I saw rting's review ranking them smiliarly, and venturist pro came on top with bigger batches, 5200 for single serving(slightly)

They say it comes down to the Vitamix container... Tall / Slim vs Short / Wide.

The 5200 has the tall / slim container so it does better with smaller serving sizes, but won't fit under most kitchen counters.

The Venturist Pro adds the timer feature and can better handle larger batches with the short/wide container. To get better performance with small batches, you need to add the smaller/slimmer base 32oz container or the Personal Cup Adapter... But the Venturist Pro has container SELF-DETECT which blocks use of these Vitamix containers unless you use the RFID hack / work around.

After much deliberation I decided to pass on both the 5200 and the Venturist Pro.

I'm contemplating giving the newer Alta Pro a try given Costco's return policy and ability to use nearly any Vitamix container out of the box.
