  • This item is available for $199 from several other retailers, but the addition of the $50 gift card makes this a slick deal
  • $100 manufacturer's savings is valid 10/7/25 through 10/8/25. While supplies last. Limit 10 per member.
  • This offer is now $30 less than the previous Frontpage Deal in August.
  • Go to bosepromotion.com/earbudsreward for full terms & conditions

  • Please see the original post for additional details and give the WIKI and forum comments a read for helpful discussion.

So, I don't know much about these. But what sounds better? Apple Pro 3 or these?

I have these and be sure to temper your expectations. They hang loosely from your ear and basically play music through small speakers outside your ear canal. This allows you to hear what's going on around you while the music is playing. However, for the music itself, it will sound worse than the $10 earbuds from the dollar store because it doesn't create a seal with the ear canal. Also, there is no noise cancellation because it's meant to allow outside noise to come in.
If hearing your surroundings is important, then these do what they are designed to do.

Only buy if you can't wear in-ear earbud, these will not hurt your ear but the wireless connection issue and the sound is nowhere near any good earbud. once you wear these a lot it feel like it not even there that the only good thing.

I was curious who possibly reviewed these 2 compared to each other... and the answer is they didn't. These aren't the Bose Open-Ear being reviewed, they are the noise cancelling version. Any open-type earbuds are fundamentally different kinds of product than any Airpod that Apple currently sells and directly marketed to a different customer than in-earbuds. There will be no reasonable direct comparison except versus other open-earbuds.

Call quality is horrible!! I strictly use them for the gym. That's all they are good for.

These are my everyday headphones. My ears just don't hold traditional earbuds very well and I got tired of them falling out. These are also nice for office wear as you can still hear what's going on around you and if someone is talking to you. I will say, the mic is absolute ass. Use these for music and videos and you'll enjoy them.

I'm the OP but I don't care if you like this deal or not; here's my review since they just arrived today.

Open ear isn't for everyone, but coming from the Nothing Ear (open), these are a step up in comfort. Nothing has a little more bass than Bose (not much but a little more) but the sound quality is otherwise spot on. Nothing's ear loops wouldn't sit flush with my ear/side of my head though, and they would bump into my sunglasses. After an hour or so they'd bother my fairly sensitive ears.

A friend of mine let me try these on and I was surprised how gentle they felt. It's still a gamble to try them but I went for it, and after 5 hours I'm shocked they feel the same as when the put them on.

Open ear headphones don't directly compare to over ear or in-ear headphones. Some ears will angle them better too, so the quality itself can vary from person to person. I find that these are great for podcasts, and also did well on calls for me, but I haven't tested the mic quality just yet. I also played some music and everything sounded very on par with the Nothing Ear (open) I've had for a while.

You don't get these for sound quality though, you get them for comfort, flexibility, and in some cases, a little more safety.

Personally I like these so much I'll probably use my Nothing Ear (open) for running and mowing, and wear these around the house to do chores or keep something playing when my kids might need me. The case is also a little more compact and I might bring them for travel alongside my Bose QuietComfort headphones.

Only good for music. I have a temu version for $12 so bose might be better but I doubt it.

That's how I felt about the Samsung Buds Live aka The Beans. They are quite comfortable in fit and don't cause fatigue. I'll miss them once they're beyond further repair..

I've tried many earbuds, including the latest AirPods and AirPods Pros, and these are my favorites. I can't get a comfortable or stable fit with any in-ear headphones, they always fall out, especially during exercise. These are the first earbuds I've owned that just stay in place and feel great. Yes, sound quality isn't great, but it's good enough. Mic quality for calls is poor, but it's fine in a pinch. But that's not why you're getting these. You're getting them to run or bike in public and stay aware of traffic, to listen to music in your office and still hear your co-workers if needed, to listen to podcasts or audiobooks around the house and still hear your young kids if they need you, or because, like me, nothing else fits! It's Costco - you can return easily. If you're curious, order and try.

I bought these on a similar deal last year (but more) and have been very happy with them. The open ear is great at times (like in office, running) but not great at other times (like at my gym they crak music so I need isolation). They are comfortable and I can wear for hours, and great for phone calls.
