best deal for ps5 was probably the 4tb evo pro at $199 when it was avail for like half a day. the samsung 990 pro is like the top of the line gen4, it's overkill for most casual use like games and mixed media. cause most assets are loaded into ram.
just go for something in your price range and $50~ per TB is a great deal from these well known brands (samsung, wd, lexar, pny, teamgroup/inland)
