for anyone getting this, make sure you check the rubber seal around where the blender blade is. people don't usually clean there

ordered one earlier. looking forward to it! will be returning if anything is fishy. I'm usually wary of used kitchen gadgets, especially appliances, but it's too good of a price to pass up

I've had one of these for maybe a year? Was on Costco sale. We really like it, especially for frozen yogurt.

All the plastic shavings in the food have completely turned me off this product... Especially when you can get a soft serve/yogurt/gelato/ice cream maker with compressor for under $100 and make ice cream within a hour.

You've found plastic shavings ??

I've used mine newly 100 times and don't even have an interior scratch in the plastic. Do you have photos?

Dang, thought I'd be able to avoid getting fat...I mean getting one of these because I don't need more treats OR more gadgets. Oops.

I only can hope the GF hates the texture and makes me return it. How much damage can I do to my diet in 30 days? <3

All the 1 star reviews usually reference the issue in the product line up. There are pictures there, also an issue with the smoking and burning up blade.

There are multiple reddit threads on it some asking if the issue was resolved as of 6 months ago and still nothing to say its resolved. There is a photo in there as well as in the amazon reviews.

just something to keep in mind - Ninja had a batch of buggy creami deluxe units that require you to unplug and replug the machine for the power to come back on. minor inconvenience if you planned on back to back batch spinning multiple tubs or respinning for mix-ins. Ninja's official stance is that this is actually a safety feature, but newer units don't exhibit this behavior and they were replacing affected creami deluxes purchased from costco and other places with units that don't shut off after a cycle

I grabbed one from Woot. So far I have made some sherbet and it was pretty good. The thing I like about making your own treats with this appliance is the ability to control how much dairy/sugar you use. The one thing I don't like about this is having to prepare and freeze it for 24 hours before you can make it but I guess it comes with the territory. I also had to learn to use a liquid that would reinforce the flavor instead of diluting it on the re-spin.
I will say the Creami is surprisingly loud but considering its running for short periods of time, its not a deal breaker.

Is this good for blending cold milk with protein powder to smoothie like consistency, or would I be better off with just a regular blender?
