A tiny percentage worse in raster, loads better in ray tracing and FSR4 support, which is leaps and bounds better than 3. You can now use 4 on 7000 series but it's janky to get it to work and it's not as good.

While this is a great card the 9070XT is the overall better card for gaming and outperforms this one for about $100 bucks less right now.

Isn't the 9070 XT meant to replace the 7700 XT? How is it beating the flagship of the previous gen?

At least if you buy this one, you won't get a hair dryer.

If you know, how is the 9070xt with pcie 4.0 motherboards? Is there a huge bottleneck? I have a rx 7800 xt and feel I need something beefier for the 1440p ultrawide monitor I got recently. It has a ryzen 5 7600 cpu so not sure if that will bottleneck the 9070xt or 7900xtx

No AMD did a whole different naming this time around and it was never meant to replace the 7700 XT. Don't let yourself be confused by AMD's stupid naming of the current models.

I have a 6800 XT running paired with an I7 14700 Intel CPU and I don't feel the need to upgrade. I play 1440p and 4k depending on the game and have 0 performance issues. Of course I guess it also depends on the games you play.

RDNA 3 was a small jump after 3 years. RDNA 4 is a huge jump after only 1 year. RDNA4 is about 40% more performant Compute Unit to Compute Unit. The 9060 xt is actually almost a 40% upgrade over the 7600 xt even with the same core count and memory.

7600 works well with 9070XT in 1440P. My kids rig has this and he has not complained

I have both the 7900XTX and a 9070XT if you care about upscaling get the 9070XT if you care more about raster get the 7900XTX.

My experience has been that the 7900XTX is better than the 9070XT at least in the games I play. Lately, I've been playing 40K: SM2 and while it's not an apples to apples comparison I feel that the 7900XTX does better in this title at native resolution. My XTX rig has a 7600X and 32GB DDR5 on a 3440x1440 monitor whereas my 9070XT rig has a 5600X3D 16GB DDR4 and 2560x1440 monitor. I set everything to max settings on my XTX rig with the 4k texture pack and use up to 20GB Vram! Eh I'm happy with both. If you care about efficiency get the 9070XT, the XTX gulps electricity.

I have this card, might need repasting with a thermal putty in the long run but overall pretty good purchase, 2k 120hz locked at RT Ultra in Cyberpunk, absolutely loving it, runs hot when RT is enabled, this card does not like undervolting much, goes only -20mV but overall a beast of a card, truly shines at higher resolution!

Never buy high dollar items from Newegg unless you want to roll the dice. They are worse than amazon with returns and rma's.

terrible buy when the 9070xt is like $600 at MC and $630 on Amazon, not to mention the 5070ti being available at this exact price.
