Is the one year Allstate warranty inaccurate?

Great option for a student notebook. The cheap Chromebooks don't last a year. The good ones you might get 2-3 out of them. But Elitebooks will take a beating with all the metal and the spillproof keyboard.

If you read the description it's mentioned it has USB4 and it can charge via that.

Official repair manual/video:
https://youtu.be/pGFXBkvn31k?si=a... <br /> It looks like max RAM is 64gb, but that will probably double the cost of the computer. NVME is easily replaceable, as is the wifi module if required.

Thank you for posting, Dr W. Biggest concern for me is the 250 nits brightness. It is basically unusable in direct sunlight and I'm glad it is mentioned in the description.

I once bought a refurb tablet from newegg eBay.
By refurb, they mean they didn't even look at it. The screen was separating from the body, the wrong charger was in the box, and the entire thing was bricked because somebody tried to flash it and failed.
I had to fight with them to replace it. Absolutely fight with them.
I get it, that was a long time ago and this has an insurance plan. But I'm not ever going to trust them for refurbished ever again and will tell the world to avoid them.
OK, I'm off my soapbox.

Big thanks for posting, Dr W. I bought a lot of stuff from Newegg back in its heyday so their name still holds some goodwill with me.

Can any HP or Elitebook connoisseurs help me to understand if there any notable differences between the 645 and 845 models?

That seems to be the only piece of the puzzle that I'm still trying to figure out. Other than the lower 645 number, this one looks like these specs are either the same or marginally better/newer than most of the others that have passed through. Plus at G9, we'd hopefully get 1 year's less worth of someone else's battery cycles. So that's a bonus.
