Not great scores on rtings, especially the black levels but can't expect top of the line at this price. 3 yr warranty included is a plus

no it's not...riting review is dumb and it put way to much emphasis on useless criteria. I have this TV and it's excellent

Then you have bad taste in picture quality. Rtings is the gold standard for TV reviews. None of that stuff is useless criteria. You should look at a good TV sometime, and see how your TV looks after that.

Always recommend hisense for price/quality, great value. However, 3 of the 4 people I recommended Hisense to (plus myself), had dark spots after 2-3 years and tossed the tvs (h8, u6 and u8 models).
Do yourself a favor and go with TCL if you are on a budget.

I got this from Costco for 700 amazing for the price. Kids tv and gaming is actually really good on it playing Helldivers and borderlands 4. Can handle 120hz if game allows it. Blacks and levels etc if you care about that will always a thousand Plus for this size

Every tv brand has issues. I have 6 different models in my house and have 3 I purchased at my girls house and have recommended them to 5 different people over the last 6 years and haven't had an issue. My brothers Samsung frame had issues after a year and his lg g whatever Oled. That didnt stop me from getting the same oled for my main

I'm not claiming to be an expert, but a well-configured cheap TV is better than a misconfigured expensive TV.

When visiting other homes with $$$ TVs on vivid++++ hurt my eyes after a few minutes of watching. At home, I can watch all day on my $200 55" Philips. Sure the blacks aren't OLED quality, but since my phones are the only OLEDS at the house, it doesn't bother me much.

Now if I bought a quality TV as a primary, I'm sure I'll get annoyed at all the other cheap TVs around the house.

Rtings's review is for the 75 inch model which is IPS, while this 85 inch version is VA, which is completely different from IPS. I have not yet found a proper review for 85inch model, but I own this TV and I did a fair share of research before buying this. I bought it 2 weeks after it was released, and I am very happy with this TV, great features, speed and display quality is awesome (but I'm sure if placed next to an OLED, that could change my opinion ). For the price, I think this is the best TV available, and even better at $500 at Costco (not sure what is different with Costco version besides the "N" in model number).
