This is NOT something you want to buy used. They're notorious for stick drift, bumper failures, etc. The only reasonable way to buy one of these is new with an extended warranty. They're a fantastic controller when they work, but they tend to not last long.

I very recently bought a refurbished Elite controller from Woot. I used it once and it had problems right off the bat with buttons intermittently working. I was able to return it, but it totally wouldn't surprise me if my returned controller was among this lot being sold. I would avoid used/refurbished.
