Some people are complaining about this having a 390 instead of a 395, and while that means it has 25% fewer CPU cores and 20% fewer GPU cores, the fact is this is going to be far more restricted thermally than anything, given the form factor. This sku with a 395 might only be 10% faster at most irl, and only in certain situations. Unless testing says otherwise, of course…

Not true at all. It's actually a better form factor than a laptop because the air intakes are on the back of the device (laptops typically have them on the bottom) and therefore not choked against a surface, and the hot air exhaust goes out the top as hot air should. Moreover the components sit behind the display rather than under your hands at the keyboard.
I have the version with RTX 4070 mobile. Thermals have never been an issue. The newer models using AMD APUs draw less power.

I would buy this if I was in the market right now. It's a do everything machine and super portable. Sure you could get better performance with a gaming laptop but not at this size and weight!

Also note this model has the lesser AI MAX 390 whereas other models have the AI MAX+ 395.

Unless you want the surface style form factor you could get a much faster conventional gaming laptop for this price.
