While I can't recommend these headphones yet as it seems Bose messed up with the ANC moving it to Adaptive (ask me how I know). This is a decent deal at Launch for those prioritizing the updated features such as USB-C audio and longer batter etc...

OtherwiseI would direct you to the many discounted deals on Gen1

How do you know that they messed up moving to Adaptive? Any opinion on these Ultra - are they worth it? I am a lifetime BOSE user from my 901s to my turntable to my Soundtouch to my QC35s and everything in between. Thanks for listing.

Do yourself a favor and just get the Gen 1's. Gen 2 is not an upgrade, can't tell the difference except maybe a bit longer battery life. That doesn't event matter cause the Gen 1 last so long anyway, you'll surely charge them before it ever goes dead.

I got them as a replacement for Gen1 through warranty (long story Bose messing up the exchange etc...) and the ANC just doesnt cut it - it's only at 100% when you switch it on then gradually lowers and if you, like me, prefer to have full throttle ANC at all times it just doesnt work. there are a lot of threads starting to appear about this issue. The hope is that they fix it through Firmware/Software,
