Great deal for the larger bag. I use this every spring to cut down on the crabgrass. I usually put this down when the forsythia is blooming which is usually a sign at the crabgrass seeds will be germinating.

The herbicides used in these crab grass preventers will also kill any newly sewn seeds or grass seedlings. Seed in the fall. If you have to do both in the spring, you will want to wait at least a month after seeding to use this kind of herbicide-containing product
