Just a note - USB C ports are NOT fast charge.

I have 5 of these in use, most have been in use for almost a year. Haven't had an issue with a single one to date, including with the USB ports.

Lots of people want higher wattage output USB C ports, but I personally prefer choosing the charger for my laptop, gaming handheld, tablet, etc. For $8, these have been great surge protectors/outlet duplicators that can charge phones and many tablets just fine/reasonably quick. Plus, I don't worry about the USB ports going defunct and needing to buy the pricier options that have have faster USB charging as replacements.

Edit: big me for and many, they're ETL listed as well. Big win, IMO.

It's not a breaker - it just limits surges. If its a large enough surge your breaker should be tripping.

How can this be a surge protector if there's no way to reset it? Does the unit just get totally fried if there's a power surge?

surge protectors do get "used up." usually there's a light that goes out when it's cooked, sometimes it's a separate LED or sometimes it's just the light behind the switch.

The USB A port on this surge protector features a maximum output of 5V/2.4A, and the USB C charging port features a maximum output of 5V/3A. so you know is not fast charge at all.
