Crazy that 240 AIOs go for cheaper than air coolers these days. Good deal.

Price jumped to $74.95 as I was checking out. Added the white version for $39 instead since price was just increased. Won't ship for a while so I can cancel if i find a better deal.

The 3 fan 360 elite in white is $44.99 grabbed one of those as well since it won't ship until late October, and I can figure out which I actually prefer. https://a.co/d/6mv08Vs

I just got that version in black. I put it on a 9600x in a Lian Li 207 and have a 5070ti in the case. The system used to have the coolermaster hyper 212 on it.

That 212 cooler is fine and I didn't tinker with fan curves but it spun up here and was generally quiet. I looked into that 360 and it seemed it was extremely capable but noisy due to an aggressive stock fan profile. Overall it was pretty overkill for the 9600x and I knew going in that I had to adjust it cuz my goals are silent. It's possible.

I can 100% load the CPU and it'll sit at 54c all day under that steady demand. (my curve profile for it ATM is pump: 55%@55c and the fans:44%@55c. It's not quite a parabolic curve but those numbers are it's midpoint) At that setting, the system sounds equal to when home HVAC system kicks on the AC and you hear the air through the vents. It's just a soft whoosh. The 360 does ramp up to noisy quickly after 50% fan speed tough.

If I can figure out how to post a pic on mobile, I can show the fan profile. I'm happy with it but still wanna adjust more. The reason is I think I don't have the settings good enough for spikey demand. ie: short spikes of high load can drive CPU temp up really quick and the cooler isn't up to speed for a quick burst in thermal load... so the temp spikes and the fans go to 80%. I probably just need the pump speed adjusted a bit. I've only messed with it for a day but I can recommend it for my system equivalent.

edit: added some space cuz that was a text wall

I bought one to try out on a new build but I think I'm going to be disappointed with the fan noise compared to the Noctua air cooler I have.

I think that's unfortunately a given. You still have to pay for premium. You can still get pretty close though, and if you throw this on like a 65W class processor it'll run pretty quiet. Maybe swap out the fans. If you're looking at this price point I think you're looking at a budget build anyway, seems great for a new build provided it lasts. If anything, you can hardly find radiators at a price like this.

While this is a good price, you can get a 6-pipe air cooler that performs just as good for $20 shipped on Amazon. AIOs look cool, but they're not nearly as reliable as air coolers and pumps break a lot more often than you'd think. If the fan on an air cooler breaks the cooler is still moving heat away form the CPU. If a pump breaks your CPU cooks nearly instantly. I'd rather pay nearly half the price for a more reliable system that performs just as well.
