Price jumped to $74.95 as I was checking out. Added the white version for $39 instead since price was just increased. Won't ship for a while so I can cancel if i find a better deal.
Manage to get one but couldn't get another one.
the black one is 74

That 212 cooler is fine and I didn't tinker with fan curves but it spun up here and was generally quiet. I looked into that 360 and it seemed it was extremely capable but noisy due to an aggressive stock fan profile. Overall it was pretty overkill for the 9600x and I knew going in that I had to adjust it cuz my goals are silent. It's possible.
I can 100% load the CPU and it'll sit at 54c all day under that steady demand. (my curve profile for it ATM is pump: 55%@55c and the fans:44%@55c. It's not quite a parabolic curve but those numbers are it's midpoint) At that setting, the system sounds equal to when home HVAC system kicks on the AC and you hear the air through the vents. It's just a soft whoosh. The 360 does ramp up to noisy quickly after 50% fan speed tough.
If I can figure out how to post a pic on mobile, I can show the fan profile. I'm happy with it but still wanna adjust more. The reason is I think I don't have the settings good enough for spikey demand. ie: short spikes of high load can drive CPU temp up really quick and the cooler isn't up to speed for a quick burst in thermal load... so the temp spikes and the fans go to 80%. I probably just need the pump speed adjusted a bit. I've only messed with it for a day but I can recommend it for my system equivalent.
edit: added some space cuz that was a text wall
