Apple TV provides the highest bit rates compared to all other streaming services. so you're getting the absolute best picture when it comes to streaming. make sure you purchase the 4K bundle version. there's an HD version and a 4K version. don't get them mixed up because they're the same price.

Apple [apple.com] has Hellraiser Double Feauture in 4K for $9.99
  • The first two Hellraiser films (Hellraiser from 1987 and Hellbound: Hellraiser II from 1988) are often bundled separately from the later entries in digital collections, streaming packages, or physical media sets due to differences in production and distribution companies, which have led to fragmented rights ownership over the franchise.

Films are not Movies Anywhere compatible (Shout!)

Bundle includes:
  • Hellraiser (1987):
  • A woman discovers the newly resurrected, partially formed, body of her brother-in-law and lover. She starts killing for him to revitalize his body and escape the demonic beings that are pursuing him after he escaped their underworld.
  • Hellbound: Hellraiser II (1988):
  • Kirsty is brought to an institution after the horrible events of Hellraiser (1987), where the occult-obsessive head doctor resurrects Julia and unleashes the Cenobites and their demonic underworld.

The bundle that is $9.99 is the HD version (© 1996 Lakeshore)

the sale for the 4K version bundle is over for now. but use the app cheapcharts to track prices. it's Halloween so it might go back on sale

Keep in mind the PQ transfer wasn't that great & there is no AQ upgrade.

It's unfortunate about the audio since these horror/suspenseful movies have great potential with object based soundtracks!

Great info thank you! These smaller releases are weird with who has the rights to which version etc.

This the very reason I never brought the Hellraiser films digitally.Because the rights are all over the place so is the quality.i brought the box set from Arrow because all the films I own from them are of very quality.Have good bonus feature and come in premium packages.
